Someone recently pointed out that I use punctuation in my text messages. Apparently, that can convey an unintended tone. Trust me, my commas and periods don’t have subtext. They’re simply deeply ingrained grammar habits. But, I get it and I’m not here to take a stand about adding punctuation to your next text. However, I would like to make the case that good punctuation habits saves lives.
